Biography

Singer is the author of two other books, “The Remembered Self: Emotion and Memory in Personality” (with Peter Salovey) and “Message in a Bottle: Stories of Men and Addiction” and co-edited, “At Play in the Fields of Consciousness: Essays in Honor of Jerome L. Singer” (with Peter Salovey).

The author of more than 60 articles, chapters, and book reviews in the fields of personality, autobiographical memory, and clinical psychology, Singer served as an associate editor for the journal “Contemporary Psychology ” and “Journal of Personality” and is on the editorial board of the “Review of General Psychology.”

He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and the 2005 recipient of the Theodore R. Sarbin Award for Distinguished Contributions in Narrative Psychology, given by Division 24 (Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology) of the American Psychological Association.
